Moving House

AAAAaarrrghh..... Moving house has to be the most stressful thing ever... all at the same time as work being difficult and you have the perfect combination for a very grumpy me.

Hopefully it will all be over by sunday... And then the lovely trip to Ikea that may happen the week after if we want curtains.... After all I can't be expected to make curtains for the entire house staight away right?

Therefore I am buying them. And I might make some if i can find some time when we have settled in to the new place.

Crochet play spaces

Saw this and as a playworker who crochets am very impressed. Would love to have one of these in the UK.

Paris Je t'aime...

Over the easter weekend I visited Paris with my Step-sister. It was awesome we had a list of things to do as long as your arm and managed to do almost all of them. The only thing is with all the manic sightseeing and endless queues to musuems....I found myself thinking I would of quite liked to just wander round the city with no specific agenda.

It didn't help that I don't really have that much in common with my step-sister and the only time we really bond is when we are trying to beat each other on the Wii in front of the Tv at christmas. But it was nice all the same...

Crochet Bunny

I have been waiting too long to post this bunny I made before easter.

You know all those good intentions that you have to make some as presents? I had them. However, as usual that hasn't happened at all.....

My second life as a lowly playworker has steadily taken over all my time to the point that I now have very little time to devote to making things.


I know.... it's a sad and depressing time when you can't even find the energy to look at a pattern let alone pick up a crochet hook.

I do however have hope.... a new house with a whole room devoted to being my workshop could be the answer....

Felt Landscapes

Today i was helping out with a textiles workshop and i had the opportunity to practice my felt making....I am actually quite impressed with what i managed to make...

I'll post up a picture tomorrow, I have far to much boring teacher training paperwork to finish and hand in at the moment!!

Thread mishap!

I began my Robert Pattinson cross stitch bright eyed and bushy tailed, but to my dismay, I discovered that I had made the fatal mistake of not buying all the threads I needed....

Mayhem ensued....

I considered driving to the store in my pajamas, but my boyfriend happily told me they would be closed to everyone, including die-hard crafters like me, especially at 11:30pm...

Robert Pattinson cross stitch

It might sound a little strange but this cross stitch of Robert Pattinson makes him look a little bit like he has had his mouth sewn shut...am i wrong?

Plus, as i am a really quite big fan of twilight i think i would rather stitch an image of the wolf man Jacob Black..... although i think if it was in wolf form it would be rather dissappointing to say the least!

I think this is much more satisfying than a head shot that makes you look a little bit like zippy from Rainbow....

I will of course show you which each ends up looking like...
